The APG/BAAS annual colloquium will be held at the British Library on Friday, November 10th, 2023. The event will run from 12.30 to 5.30 and will be headlined by Professor Tommy Curry (Edinburgh), whose keynote address will be “America as Racist Polity: Enslavement, Segregation, and Racial Violence as Determinates of Political Structuration.”

In addition to this, there will be a roundtable discussion on the impact of the war in Ukraine on American politics. This will be chaired by former APG Chair, Andy Wroe (Kent). We will also be conducting a prize giving ceremony for the winners of our postgraduate travel awards, and the 2022 Richard E. Neustadt book prize.

Finally, there will be an opportunity for attendees to question two former Members of Congress who will be speaking as part of the Congress to Campus programme. We’re delighted that Alex Waddan (Leicester) will be returning to chair the Q&A session with the former Representatives.

We hope that you can join us too for this afternoon of riveting discussion as well as catching up with friends, old and new, over coffee.
