Volunteering opportunity at PSA26

Volunteering opportunity at PSA26 as a Conference Ambassador

Conference Ambassadors benefit from free attendance at the conference, and out of pocket expenses. They receive up to £50 daily reimbursement for food, refreshments, and travel related expenditure (in accordance with the PSA’s policy) for each day they are volunteering, and can attend panel sessions, roundtables, keynote presentations and events when not involved in a particular task.

This is a great opportunity to take part in the conference, as can be seen in this blog from Grace Cooper, PSA Parliaments Specialist Group: Conference Ambassador to Specialist Group convenor: My Political Studies Journey.

Examples of the CA tasks might include:

  • Helping with conference and/or exhibitors set up
  • Assisting in the Registration Area, e.g. checking in conference delegates
  • Supporting allocated panel rooms, including facilitating presenters’ slides (guidance will be provided for this)
  • Helping with the setup of events such as the PSA AGM, Keynotes, Conference Drinks, Prize Giving ceremony
  • Helping to take down/pack up conference on 1 April

Please do share this with those who may be interested, and please ask that they email membership@psa.ac.uk with expressions of interest by Monday 9 February
